Anxiety, Panic & Health Is Alive!

It’s been a long time since the last post on Anxiety, Panic & Health. Some people thought I had abandoned it for good. I even had offers to purchase it.

Well, I’m back, but where have I been? Long-time readers will know that I don’t like to talk about myself on this blog, so I won’t go into a long tale of woe. Suffice it to say that I’ve had a bad time with my bipolar disorder, and I’ve started a new business as well. I’ve managed to hold my head above water, and now I’m ready to return to AP&H.

You may expect regular posts in the future. The next one will be about the new DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) that is being prepared now for introduction in 2013. I am also doing research to update previous articles with new information.

One thing you can expect to see are more articles about general mental health issues. Also, there are several mental disorders that frequently occur alongside the Anxiety Disorders, such as depression, and there will be articles about these, too. I have decided to expand the scope of Anxiety, Panic & Health a bit to give you more and better information to help you live a successful, fulfilling life.

As always, your suggestions for articles are welcome. Just leave a comment on this post or email me directly using the “Contact” menu item.

This blog has always used Thesis, since version 1 that I purchased in August, 2008. I need to update it, but it will keep its general look and feel.

When it comes to mental health, schizophrenia has always piqued my curiosity and I was wondering if you could post some articles about it, most especially, on how to interact with people who have it. I hear from friends that it’s quite scary to interact with them. Is this true? I’d really want to know about it.

This is really the main issue now a days. Anxiety really is the great factors of illness today. Because of the emergence of the fast paced life. Everybody is in a hurry of catching with schedules and quotas and that is where anxiety attacks come in. Everything in life should be in moderation, after all is the things we are in a hurry for contributes to the greatest mankind or simply for profit?

Staying fit and keeping a check on one self is definately something we should all do! I’m very interested to hear your views on the new dsm Mike. I know it is not out yet, but there’s already clear ideas on changes that are being made, in particular to the diagnosing of PTSD and also the use of the term ‘personality disorder’. Be good to hear your views, and I hope you’re doing ok, your posts, although I’ve only just come across them have been interesting to read.

Hello mike thank you so mush to discuss about anxiety, I had pains in my chest, rapid heartbeat, felt worked up, scared that something was happening to me, broke into a sweat … I didn’t know what to do with myself and wished I could run away this was first panic attack.

Great tips! Anxiety does take a great deal of confidence. It must be conquered. Your insightful information on this and the tips needed to counter such problem is very helpful.

We always tend to nod at the world that we can do this and do that. Anxiety attacks with our permission. We allow it to haapen to us. If only we knew about moderation, living a life as simple as it is then there would be no anxiety. Why all those people of the olden times doesn’t have anxiety attacks? Because there is not much demand . commercialism was not introduced. Now a days the world demand us to have new cellphone, new gadgets, more learning and a little teeny weeny of a rest.
