I think conventional knowledge about beating fears is a lot the same regarding exposure therapy. Any way, I think it does not works well with other people. There are others who are really frantic of facing their fears.

Oh man wow that's interesting. I think basically to get rid of anxiety is to really stop thinking about it which of course can be difficult especially if it becomes a habit or something. Anyway that was interesting :) :l, take care.

Mike Nichols: I just found this site and your wonderful articles. As a one time phobic and now a therapist who works with anxious children and adults, I've used exposure therapy on myself and with clients. Other techniques I've found extremely helpful come from the work of Dr. Claire Weekes, particularly "floating" and learning how to stop being afraid of the symptoms of anxiety. When one can do that, not care about how anxiety and panic feels--it's empowering.

I'll be checking back on this great site regularly.

Regards,
Diane
